POWDER COATING WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Komet Sp. z o.o. (hereinafter referred to as the Guarantor) provides a warranty for the powder coating in the scope of:
- colour conformity (RAL colour; details below),
- coating thickness (unless otherwise agreed; 60-80 μm; deviation up to 25%),
- coating quality (homogeneity, lack of sags, cracks and air bubbles).
Coating quality assessment:
- the coating is assessed on the significant (visible to the end user) surface of the product. The significance of the surface is indicated by the Ordering Party before the commencement of the service. The significant surface cannot contain recesses or places that are difficult to access in the painting process
- the non-significant surface of the product is invisible to the end user. The Ordering Party may establish its status with the Guarantor (painting/so-called dusting/leaving without painting), while this surface (invisible to the end user) is not covered by the guarantee, unless the parties expressly agree otherwise
- Due to the Guarantor’s use of various types of paints: smooth (matt, semi-matt, gloss) and structural (with a fine and coarse structure); epoxy and polyester, the assessment of the coating’s compliance with the order requires the Ordering Party/Client to provide detailed expectations in this respect before the Guarantor starts to perform the order
- in the case of the furniture industry, the assessment of the quality of the coating is verified from a distance of 1 meter in normal, diffused lighting. Individual dust inclusions are also permissible on the visible side of the product, provided that they do not significantly affect the aesthetics of the entire element/product. In the case of the outdoor industry, the assessment of the quality of the coating is verified from a distance of 3 meters in daylight.
Zgłoszenie i rozpatrzenie wady:
In the event of a defect being detected during the warranty period, two forms of reporting it are permissible: a) sending an electronic report via the report form available on the website: komet.pl/en/cooperation/. The report should include: order number, description of the defect; including the quantity (pcs.) to which the defect applies, as well as photos of the products containing the defect, sufficient for the Guarantor to be able to consider the report unequivocally. b) delivery of defective products to the Guarantor’s registered office. The Guarantor will respond to each notification within 14 calendar days.
The guarantee is valid when all of the following conditions are met:
- products/elements are used and stored in standard conditions products/elements have not been in contact with aggressive factors (e.g. high temperature, above 60°C)
- the products/elements provided to the Guarantor by the Ordering Party do not have any defects and/or have not been in contact with substances that could cause damage to the coating, including with a time delay and/or the products/elements provided for powder coating did not have any other properties (e.g. chemical composition of steel) than those declared by the Ordering Party before the commencement of the service
- products or elements were not damaged during unloading, assembly, use, i.e. after the service/order was completed
The guarantee does not cover:
- mechanical and chemical damages occurring after the service/order has been completed
- services performed using powder paint supplied by the Client or purchased from a supplier indicated by the Client
- elements/products repainted in a different colour, even if this activity was performed by/with the consent of the Guarantor (application of another layer of coating)
- coating services on products that were not made in accordance with the art; including deformations resulting from excessive stresses on the structure, also with a time delay damage caused during assembly (unless it is performed by the Guarantor)
- defects resulting from force majeure, natural disasters, unusual (extreme) weather phenomena natural wear and tear or changes related to the normal ageing process excessive exposure of products or elements to ultraviolet radiation or moisture (possibility of stains and discoloration)
- in the event of contact with materials that may cause corrosion subjective defects that do not affect the aesthetic appearance of the coating indirect claims that the contractor has no influence on, e.g. loss of satisfaction, customers, etc.
Wyłączenia gwarancyjne
The Guarantor draws attention to the possibility of certain differences in the shade of the coating of the same color (most often indicated as a specific RAL number or its equivalent). Minor differences resulting from different deliveries (batches) of powder paint, as well as different manufacturers of powder paint (applies to the same RAL color) do not constitute grounds for filing a complaint. In the case of galvanized and powder-coated elements/products, unevenness of the painted coating resulting from the uneven structure of the zinc layer is permissible.
Maintenance requirements:
- products must be cleaned of dirt regularly and without delay
- in areas where the coating may come into contact with concentrated atmospheric (chemical) pollutants; such as industrial or coastal areas, it is necessary to increase the frequency of removing contaminants from products
- some cleaning agents may damage the coating. Aggressive cleaning agents may start the corrosion process. Their use is prohibited
- to clean the coating, we recommend using neutral cleaning agents with a pH between 5 and 8
Validity period
Consumers (private customers) are granted a 2-year warranty starting at the time of receipt of the order by the Ordering Party/Principal. In the case of orders and/or business orders (B2B clients), i.e. between entrepreneurs, the Guarantor grants a 12-month warranty.
These warranty conditions enter into force on 21.03.2025.
